The Data Protection Act (DPA) gives you the right to apply to see information that we hold about you. This is known as a ‘Subject Access Request’ (SAR)
Making a request to obtain information about you:
To help you and ensure confidentiality, we will ask for any request to be made:
- in writing
- with sufficient information to locate the information requested
- with sufficient evidence to confirm your identity (e.g. a signature)
There is a SAR application form that you can use to make a request. You don’t have to use this but it may help us to locate the information you need more easily.
You can download the SAR form here.
Alternatively you can contact us.
Under the DPA we have 40 calendar days to respond to your written request.
Further information about your right to access information that is held about you can be found on the Information Commissioner’s website.
