At a special award ceremony in London on Wednesday 1 May our repairs team picked up a bronze award at the 2013 Considerate Constructors Scheme National Site Awards.

The Considerate Constructors Scheme Awards are only given to the highest scoring 7.5% of registered sites and recognise the exceptional standards of consideration registered sites show towards their local neighbourhoods and the general public, the workforce and the environment.

Commenting on the honour, Our Property Director, Chris Williams said: “I’m immensely proud of our repairs team and this award is testament to their hard work, dedication and skill.  We work hard to provide a top quality repairs service to our tenants and leaseholders so it’s great to get recognition that we are delivering a consistently high standard of work in a considerate way.”

To qualify for the award, experts from the Considerate Constructors Scheme carried out an intensive assessment of our repairs service, scoring us across a number of areas including enhancing the appearance, respecting the community, protecting the environment, securing everyone’s safety and caring for the workforce.

Notes for editors

Cheltenham Borough Homes:

  • CBH is one of the top rated ALMOs (Arms Length Management Organisations) in the country. ALMOs are not for profit companies that run social housing services for their local council
  • Currently CBH manage and maintain around 5,000 tenant and leasehold properties with high satisfaction and performance levels, when compared nationally with other housing providers
  • CBH put their customers at the heart of what they do; working with them to shape services and ensure the company focuses on local need
  • CBH deliver more than high quality core landlord services: they have an ongoing programme building new homes and regenerating communities; they support people to find work and employment; work to improve financial inclusion and develop stock to make it more energy efficient
