From 4 November 2013 callers using our freephone number 0800 408 0000 will be greeted with a more efficient and speedier service thanks to the number of call options reducing from five to three.

The new options include a direct dial, gas repair/general gas enquiry and a general option for all other enquires.

Following consultation with our customers, for six months we will trialling an extension of their telephone opening hours to: Monday – Thursday: 8am – 6pm and Friday – 8am – 5pm.

Our Chief Executive, Paul Stephenson, said: “We are always looking at ways to improve our services and provide value for money. This new streamlined service will help our customers get the information they need, at a time to suit them, by either connecting directly to the right person or by speaking to a highly trained member of staff.”

Our customer services staff have also spent time work shadowing in all other departments at CBH to increase their knowledge and enable them to answers callers questions quickly and correctly without the need to pass them on to other officers.
