Calling all young people! Sign up our new club

St Paul's YCIf you’re aged 11 to 18 and living in Cheltenham you will soon be able to enjoy hanging out with your friends, making new ones and trying out fresh things thanks to the launch of our new youth club in St Paul’s, called The YC.

Created and inspired by young people, for young people, The YC, set up in partnership with youth work charity Young Gloucestershire, is open to all young people in Cheltenham aged 11 to 18.

On Monday 9 December we are inviting young people to come along to sign up and enjoy a fun taster session. Activities on offer at the registration event will include: pool, table football, music, internet café and special ‘YC Olympics’ events. The session will run from 5pm – 6:30pm at the CBH Community Hub in St Paul’s.

Our senior neighbourhood housing officer, Andy Wood, said: “We’ve been working closely with our younger residents to create this new club which will provide them with a safe place to get together and get more involved in their community. We want to encourage all 11-18 year olds from St Paul’s and the surrounding areas to come along and join in.”

The YC will formally launch as a free, twice weekly youth club on 6th January 2014. Held at St Paul’s Community Hub located in St Paul’s Walk, the youth club will be open to young people aged 11 to 18, every Monday and Wednesdays from 5pm – 6:30pm

Notes for editors

Cheltenham Borough Homes:

  • CBH is one of the top rated ALMOs (Arms Length Management Organisations) in the country. ALMOs are not for profit companies that run social housing services for their local council
  • Currently CBH manage and maintain around 5,000 tenant and leasehold properties with high satisfaction and performance levels, when compared nationally with other housing providers
  • CBH put their customers at the heart of what they do; working with them to shape services and ensure the company focuses on local need
  • CBH deliver more than high quality core landlord services: they have an ongoing programme building new homes and regenerating communities; they support people to find work and employment; work to improve financial inclusion and develop stock to make it more energy efficient

 Young Gloucestershire:
Young Gloucestershire is a countywide youth work charity that supports young people to achieve their potential. It does this through providing education, training and social opportunities to young people across Gloucestershire. For more information visit
