Telecare goes on tour: March 2014

Telecare-user-Gloucestershire Telecare – a service which can help people stay safe & independent at home – is visiting town centres and shopping centres in local communities across Gloucestershire in March 2014.

Telecare offers simple discreet equipment helping older people, people with physical disabilities, memory problems, learning disabilities and mental health conditions live independently.

Discreet devices placed around the house activate when help is needed, detecting potential incidents like people falling, wandering, taking incorrect doses of medication, or alerting responders to fire, flooding, carbon monoxide or gas leaks.

To show just how easy Telecare is to use the team will give demonstrations, allow people to try the equipment and give people the opportunity to seek personal one to one information about how Telecare could work for them.

Just look out for the Gloucestershire Clinical Commissioning NHS Trust’s health information bus in high streets and shopping centres at the following locations.

All times are between 10am and 4pm:

  • Gloucester – Near the Cross, Westgate Street, 17 March
  • Stroud – King Street, 18 March
