Residents go ‘digital’ at new CBH den

online-event-promotionResidents will now be able to conquer their IT fears and go digital thanks to the launch of our new ‘Digital Den’ based at Hester’s Way Community Resource Centre.

On Tuesday 22 July 2014 over 30 people attended a special event where our Chief Executive, Paul Stephenson, cut the ribbon and officially opened the new training room.

Kitted out with 12 new PCs and a smart board this specialist training room will offer tuition to people with little or no experience of being online.

The ‘Digital Den’ will offer residents the chance to build their confidence, explore their hobbies and interests online and find out how they can access services on the internet.

Our Chief Executive Paul Stephenson, said: “In a fast changing, technology driven world we recognise that it is vital for people to learn about the benefits of getting online. The launch of this new training den will give people the chance to gain confidence and new skills.”

Training will be provided on accessing internet services such as online banking,, social media, online shopping, digital photography and basic English and Maths.

For nervous novices there is a ‘drop in’ session on a Wednesday afternoon and Thursday morning.
