Time to Talk Day 2015 – let’s end mental health discrimination

tea-bagsThursday 5 February 2015 is Time to Talk Day, and we’re asking you to join us in taking 5 minutes to have a conversation about mental health.

Run by Mind and Rethink Mental Illness we will join hundreds of other schools, organisations and members of the public on Time to Talk Day to break the silence that surrounds mental health.

Having a mental health problem is hard enough, but sometimes the isolation and stigma can make it even worse.  But we can all help to break the silence. Talking about mental health doesn’t need to be difficult and can make a big difference. That’s why we’re asking you to take just 5 minutes on the 5th  with a cup of tea and a cake, to have a conversation about mental health.

There are lots of ways you can make your 5 minutes count, whether it be at work, online, in the community or with friends and family.

There will be an interactive online counter available on the day at for you to log your 5 minute chat. The event is aiming to reach at least 24 hours’ worth of conversation!
