Budding cooks look forward to training up to be future masterchefs’

Future Masterchefs’ are set to cook up a storm as they will be receiving a free 6 week cookery course from the St Paul’s hub later this month.

Hester’s Way Community Resource Centre has teamed up with Adult Education to deliver the course for Adults in the St Paul’s area.

The course which is open to adults in the St Paul’s area (not just residents) over the age of 19, will teach these budding cooks how to cook a range of healthy dishes using local ingredients where possible.fruits_and_vegetables2

The course will cover topics such as:

  • Food hygiene
  • Food safety
  • Healthy eating
  • Cooking with leftovers
  • Utilising base recipes
  • Batch cooking
  • Looking at what is in the food that we buy

There are also opportunities for participants to take part in additional bakery and hygiene courses.

The course is set to run on the 20th April and due to popular demand is already full. But we are planning to run another course.
