The Five Steps to Improving your Mental Wellbeing have been scientifically proven to make people feel happier, more positive and able to get the most from their life.

There is evidence to show that exercising can have a powerful effect on your mental wellbeing, afterall what you do with your body will have a positve effect on your mind.

Mental wellbeing is all about your ability to take control of your life and make yourself feel good in the process. Being active doesn’t necessarily mean trips to the gym, think about ways of integrating any physical activities that you enjoy into your day to day life.

Did you know physical activity can:

  • Help with mild depression
  • Protect against anxiety
  • Cause chemical changes in the brain, which can positively change our mood
  • Bring about a greater sense of self-esteem, self-control and the ability to rise to a challenge

To stay healthy it is recommended that adults do both aerobic andwomenactive
