Join us in marking the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain

You are invited to join us in marking the 75th Anniversary of the Battle of Britain in which our brave Polish pilots played a crucial role.

A historic and momentous trip has been arranged by the Cheltenham Senior Community Voice, in partnership with the CBH Polish Forum, Cheltenham Polish TARA and the Polish Club 50+, to pay our respects to these brave men who risked their lives and to show solidarity and support for the longstanding friendship between our two countries.

The annual memorial Service at RAF Northolt, will be held on 5th September this year in which a substantial delegation from Poland is expected to attend, with representation at the highest levels.

We invite anyone who is interested to join us for a great day out.polish trip The replica of the wartime Wilno Standard of the Polish Air Force will be paraded and the ceremony will also feature a fly-past by the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight, a detachment of Officer Cadets from the Polish Air Force Academy, Dęblin trumpeter and drummer from the Central Band of the RAF, and the band of the Middlesex Wing of the Air Training Corps.

Young people from the various Polish schools in London, in addition to the Polish Scouts and Guides, will also take part.

After the service, the coach will take us to the RAF Museum at Hendon, where we will have lunch followed by a guided tour of the museum and further refreshment before we set off back to Cheltenham. Flags from our two nations will be waved as we travel to and from our destination, with a sing a long on the coach to end an eventful day.
