LGBT History Month 2016 events

LGBT History Month is observed in the UK throughout February to raise awareness of lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender history, and the history of the gay rights and related civil rights movements.

Events taking place as part of Cheltenham LGBT History Month include:

  • Pride Ball:

Venue: Cheltenham Regency Hotel
Date: 5th February
Time: 7pm til Midnight.

Tickets £20 for the full evening or £10 pounds from 9pm onwards.

  • The LGBT Partnership will host an LGBT Workshop

Venue: The University of Gloucestershire Park Campus
Date: 24th February
Time: from 6pm

Find out about the results of the LGBT survey that was carried out during November to gather views about what’s available and needed in Cheltenham for the LGBT community.

  • ‘Hidden Agenda’ Exhibition

A workshop with a community artist to create a series of artworks that will go on show at the Wilson Art Gallery and Museum in March.

No experience is necessary and anyone interested in being involved can email learning@cheltenhamtrust.org.uk

  • Gloucestershire Pride

in conjunction with the LGBT Partnership, will host a music night here in Cheltenham, to raise funds for their annual Gloucestershire Pride event.

The National Festival of LGBT History is open to everyone and events will be taking place in London, Bristol, Shrewsbury, York and Manchester.
