Residents’ sing-along to final Mindsong session

Wallace House residents were treated to a series of musical performances by Gloucestershire based charity Mindsong on Monday 20 June.

Music was definitely in the air as everyone took part in sing-alongs, solos and duets as they celebrated their last ever Mindsong session at the hub.

Patriotic songs, backed up by hats, props and plenty of flag-waving took place as the group got into the swing of a summer themed party. There was plenty of laughter and tears as the songs brought back many happy and emotional memories allowing people to communicate their thoughts with their friends and family. Untitled design-3

The Mindsong project was designed to provide uplifting music therapy to boost people’s cognitive wellbeing and to help those dealing with mild to late stage dementia keep their mind active.

From July 4 the new Wallace House singing Group will be taking place every fortnight from 2pm to carry on from the success of the previous Mindsong sessions. For more information please call Housing Support on 0800 408 0000 or email
