We’re officially ‘Investors in People’

IIP ERICFollowing our Investors in People assessment in June we are delighted to announce that we have successfully achieved accreditation standard.

The Investors in People Standard is the benchmark of good people management practice and covers 3 principles broken down into 10 indicators:

  1. Plan: Business Strategy, Learning & Development Strategy, People Management Strategy, Leadership & Management
  2. Do: Management Effectiveness, Accreditation & Reward, Involvement & Empowerment, Learning & Development
  3. Review: Performance Measurement, Continuous Improvement.

Throughout June the IiP assessor gathered evidence by reviewing CBH’s strategy information, business plans, and other documents. Interviews were also held with Directors and employees, randomly selected, from a cross section of locations, departments, gender and length of service.

Our Chief Executive, Paul Stephenson, said: “We’re delighted to achieve this accreditation which endorses the commitment and investment we place in our workforce. This standard is a reflection on everyone who works at CBH and I want to thank staff for their support and input in helping us gain this prestigious award.”

Notes for editors

Cheltenham Borough Homes:

  • CBH is one of the top rated ALMOs (Arms Length Management Organisations) in the country. ALMOs are not for profit companies that run social housing services for their local council
  • Currently CBH manage and maintain around 5,000 tenant and leasehold properties with high satisfaction and performance levels, when compared nationally with other housing providers
  • CBH put their customers at the heart of what they do; working with them to shape services and ensure the company focuses on local need
  • CBH deliver more than high quality core landlord services: they have an ongoing programme building new homes and regenerating communities; they support people to find work and employment; work to improve financial inclusion and develop stock to make it more energy efficient
