The Olympics set foot at St Paul’s Summer Fete!

St Paul’s got a taste of  the tropics as we brought the Rio Olympics to our annual Summer Fete.

Local residents took the lead in organising this fantastic event, which has successfully raised funds to support future activities in the area. A bouncy castle, face painting, tin-can alley, table tennis, the stocks, beat the goalie, Rio style head band crafts were a few of the many activities on hand to keep our fellow Olympians entertained.Untitled design

We sold over 100 cakes, many of which were baked by local residents, refreshments such as teas, coffees and ice creams were also available.

A great time was had by all and we would like to send a big thank you to the St Pauls committee, St Pauls church, the fire service, Inspiring Families and gardeners lane nurseries, who all took part in the day.

Even teenagers from the area helped with the event and it was especially fun to see the parents taking part in an Olympic Sack Race!!

A big thank you to you all!
