It’s a ‘新年快樂 (Happy New Year)’ from our Kids Club!

Celebrations for Chinese New Year over at St Paul’s Kids Club were off to a flying start as the children put their creative skills to test.

The kids designed a magical and mystical Chinese Dragon, decorating the head and tail in vibrant colours and using tissue paper to create the colourful body. This magnificent beast was then displayed in the window of St Paul’s Hub to wish the local community a Happy Chinese New Year.

During the event, some of the children sampled a selection of fruit that originates from China and had fun practising their chopstick skills.

The day ended on a high note with everyone pronouncing ‘Happy New Year’ in Mandarin Chinese. 新年快樂  (xīn nián kuài lè).
