We have a variety of opportunities available whatever your age and circumstances. We can advise you on the training, skills and qualifications that you may require to secure your dream role. Last year we had a fantastic December helping three people to get a new job and our success is on-going this year as we help more people get onto the career ladder.

Traineeships

A traineeship is a course with work experience that gets you read for work or  an apprenticeship, it can last up to 6 months.

“I used to mess around at school but working at CBH has set my head straight.”

Those are the words of Tom Swift, a student from All Saints Academy who rode home in style last Friday (30 January), after being presented with a brand new bike from our chief executive, Paul Stephenson.

Tom, aged 16, was given the new bike in recognition of the dedication and commitment he has shown whilst working alongside our repairs team as part of the All Saints Alternative Provision Project (APP).

Apprenticeships

An apprenticeship is another area of work that we offer for those 16 or over looking to gain the necessary career skills while earning at the same time.

“It’s been a real pleasure working for CBH over the last 9 months and I wouldn’t be up for this award if it wasn’t for the help and support of my managers and colleagues”

Aisha Pandor recently won ‘Outstanding Apprentice of the Year’ (public sector) in the Gloucestershire Echo and Gloucestershire Citizen Awards.

She was a fantastic and valuable apprentice and after working for CBH went on to secure a permanent job working for the MP’s office in Gloucester.
