Employment support and advice

We know that finding a job or taking that first step into training can be hard so we have a dedicated team on hand who can offer support to help you into work, education, training or volunteering.

Job clubs If you are out of work and would like help or support to find employment then our jobs clubs are just the thing for you.

The clubs are free to join and are held at:

Hester’s Way Community Resource Centre
Cassin Drive
every Monday & Wednesday
 11am – 1pm 

Oakley Community Resource Centre

Clyde Crescent
every Tuesday & Thursdays
11am – 1pm

Advice and help on offer at the clubs include:

  • Job searching
  • Completing application forms
  • Interview techniques
  • CV writing and covering letters
  • Disclosure of criminal convictions

 We can also help you:

  • Setting up email accounts
  • Goal setting
  • Dealing with your first days at work

Helping young people into work We are working closely with local schools and the Job Centre to set up work experience placements for working age people.
